What if a group is dead/no recent activity? Or the group is full, or the admins never accept me?
In these cases, please let me know at [email protected] so I can update the database.
Why is it image-only? Why not just make it a spreadsheet so I can copy-paste the info?
It is in image format to avoid web scrapers and spammers from getting into the groups. In apps like Preview or with an iPhone, you should be able to grab text from an image. Or you can just write down the link from the image.
Do you have permission?
These are all publicly available links, found on blogs, FB groups with tens of thousands of members, and in many cases the share link is found in the group chat description itself. I also reached out to many group admins to get their permission before adding their group to this list. Any concerns about web scrapers or spammers are vastly reduced by the list being in image, rather than text, format.
What is an "invite-only" group?
These are groups that do not circulate a link (or at least I couldn't find one). Typically you join by messaging an admin and asking to be added to the group. How can you find the admin's contact? Ask for an invite or contact from your friends, or in the other group chats I've set you up with ;)
How do I remove my group from Lustig's List?
To request that your group is removed, please contact me at [email protected]. You must be the admin of the group.
